down under

OK it's probably time to update about everything since coming to melbourne. But as usual my lazines got in my way, lala. :P i don't really know how to summarise my days here so far.. ok here's the condensed version in point form!

• The place is so easy to fall in love with. It's pretty, the people are friendly and generally laid back. The city (which is 5 mins on foot from where we live) is lively enough without feeling conjested or polluted like cough shanghai cough. Really the place is lovely. (: Can't wait for my parents to come over visit. More people come visit us please! (:
  
• Cooking has taken a big part of our lives hahaha. The kitchen here is the best place ever to make friends. And the people in our residency are nice (generally. :/ probably get to that later) Cooking's pretty fun! We were pretty blown over by 20++ guys who looked like they cooked a whole lot better than us. XD And we spend like probably 3 hours in the kitchen, with only 1/6 of the time actually cooking i think? haha. (: The rest is spent chit chatting.
  
• Oh my 19 birthday finally came! I was planning it would just disappear in the midst of my days and not be reminded that I'm 19 already. I don't like that number already, how old ): And the next year's 20! omg omg hyperventilates now. Ok one step at a atime :P Beloved grace went out to get a cake while i was sleeping and pulled the people in our building to cut cake at 12 midnight. And she woke me up with the pretense of heading down to kfc to eat. and i believed her. Quite believable right HAHA.
• The movie ratings here are slack beyond believe! We're going to catch milk later with some friends, which is like r21 in singapore but just parental guidance needed here. :o
• We've become the absolutely most cheapo people alive. We get excited over 99cents detergent and 79cents spaghetti. Uh huh. This is what living overseas on a budget does to you :P

• I pretty much love my classes now. Which is economics, finance and business law. Exciting.
• Forgot to mention this kickass free concert by the melbourne symphony orchestra that we went to. (free!) everyone was just lying on the grass with picnics packed and red wine in their wine glasses. A really nice experience (:
